Super 13Cr is a kind of martensitic steel. Compared with ordinary martensitic stainless steel, the carbon content of super 13Cr is greatly reduced. By reducing the carbon content (the highest carbon content is 0.03%) and increasing the content of nickel (4.5-5.5%) and molybdenum (1.5-2.5%), the strength and hardness of super 13Cr can be improved, and the toughness of super 13Cr can be improved. In addition, super 13Cr also overcomes the shortcomings of traditional martensite in the process of welding, such as stress crack sensitivity and poor weldability. Therefore, super 13Cr is also called super martensitic stainless steel or soft martensitic stainless steel.
